During the Rotary Centennial year a Twin Club Program was established and is the basis for the Think Caribbean program. Zones 33 and 34 are participants of the Think Caribbean program with an emphasis on partnering Rotary Clubs in the Caribbean rim nations, Districts 7000, 7020, and 7030, with Rotary Clubs on the mainland.
Twin Clubs are two clubs that establish strong ties and have agreed to team up to complete special projects such as Community Service Grants, Friendship Exchanges, and Youth Exchanges. The specific goals between the two clubs are:
To emphasize Rotary service and friendship To establish a long-term relationship with another club To enhance understanding of another culture within the Zones To provide assistance to one another as needed between the two twin clubs
Brooksville Rotary has been "twinned" up with the Sunrise Club in the Grand Cayman island. We were honored with a visit from John Epp, from the Sunrise Club in March 2009. The Brooksville Club hopes to reciprocate the visit to the Grand Cayman Sunrise Club by the Fall.
