When: May 6th - May 7th, 2011 - more details to come...
The theme of this year’s RFL is “Winning Circle” and the slogan is “United for a Cure”.
We are looking for a team name. Preferably something that incorporates the word "Rotary" from what I gathered so far from meetings.
Our goal is to reaise $5000 this year. The normal Corporate donors cannot donate this year, so it is up to us to raise the full amount. If you remember, the newer members of the club are on the committte for Relay for Life...if you can't make the meetings, then please think about some of our needs such as Team name, Fundraising ideas, Corporate support, etc...
We need walkers to show up Friday night and Saturday morning if possible. Rob is planning on being out there all night for Rotary’s Team as well as the Wal-mart Team, so we are not asking for anyone to commit to being out there overnight (unless you want to).
We will have a planning meeting to discuss the logistics on April 12th after the regular weekly Rotary meeting.
We can discuss fundraising ideas as well as the logistics of making the “camp” for the event happen.
This year’s theme is “United for a Cure.” We can do a patriotic theme.
We are still looking for places to sell raffle tickets. Brande has arranged for us to sell at the fair at least one day. We will do Market on Main Street April 16th.
Saturday April 9th is the Relay yard Sale at the Beef O’Bradys in Brooksville. Rob will sell raffle tickets for the TV, and there is an opportunity to sell household items. If you have items sitting around that you no longer need, and you feel like dropping them off, Rob will have a table set up. So, if you have stuff, but not enough for a garage or yard sale of your own, you can make a donation for Relay.
If you need Rob to pick items up, he can do that Thursday or Friday when he gets back from Washington. You can email him at rob@hernandoliving.com
