Hospice Picnic Mar 2, 2012 Brooksville, FL March 2, 2012. Despite threats of dropping temperatures, Brooksville Rotarians proudly cooked and served hot dogs and hamburgers to nearly 150 hungry children and volunteers at the annual hospice camp at Lakewood Retreat. Children attending the hospice program for the weekend are grieving due to the loss of a loved one which could be a parent, sibling or other family member. This is the 14th year that the Brooksville Rotary Club has been sponsoring this picnic.

Eckerd Youth Academy Spelling Bee Feb 25, 2012 It was the first of hopefully many Spelling Bee fundraisers whose proceeds were to benefit Eckerd Youth Academy (EYA). Brooksville Rotary Club members, along with many other supporters, accepted the challenge. The Rotary team did not win, but had fun and were proud participants! We blamed our loss on the Master of Ceremony, Royce Decker, for his accent and our own somewhat restricted vocabulary. Ha! Ha!

Santa arrived in time to have his picture taken with all the little boys and girls.

Nineteen teams of four were positioned to support the 34th Annual Brooksville Rotary Golf Tournament held at the Brooksville Country Club. No one won the $10,000 hole-in-one sponsor provided by Monster Transmission. The $1000 raffle winner was Bill Woodard (AlumiGuard). He immediately turned around and donated 50% BACK TO ROTARY!

This is a rewarding experience for  all students, teachers,  parents and Rotarians.  Including this year, we have delivered nearly 10,000 dictionaries. 2011 Dictionary Project Nov 30, 2011 . The Dictionary Project began in 2005 with the Brooksville Rotary Club. Today, it includes the Spring Hill and Spring Hill Central Rotary clubs. For the past two weeks and through January, free dictionaries have been and are being distributed to every third grader in every school in Hernando County. That’s nearly 1800 students!
Richard Trump's 80th Birthday Nov 15, 2011 “Hear ye, Hear ye - Come now to the Rotary Club of Brooksville to be heard and seen to honor the 80th birthday of Dr. Richard Cahill Trump. His life, his accomplishments, and his service to Rotary to be spoken of today. Come hear and you shall be heard!”

Club Picnic Oct 8, 2011 Members of the Brooksville Rotary Club, families and friends joined together last week for a fun-filled afternoon of BBQ, games and entertainment. This annual event is one of the opportunities Rotarians have to get together to enjoy one another’s company purely for the pleasure of fun and fellowship.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing Dec 3, 2010 For nearly 10 years, the Brooksville Rotary Club has volunteered its members to support the Salvation Army’s yearly Kettle Drive. This year, $856.79 was raised by the Rotarians ringing the bells at the Publix Supermarket in Brooksville over a two day period.

October Social at Stewart's Tree Farm Oct 9, 2010 A special Thank You! to Stewart's Tree Farm for letting us hold our social at their park. It was a beautiful place and very much appreciated!
District Governor Visit Aug 17, 2010 District Governor Lynda Vinson met with the Board for two hours before the regular meeting.

Relay for Life - 2010 May 3, 2010 Brooksville Rotary at the 2010 Relay for Life held at Hernando High School.
Judge Lisa Herndon was inducted February 21 by Ed Hobin. Karen Nicolai was her sponsor. Lisa was a member of the Brooksville Rotary Club in 2005-2006 when she was a prosecutor in Hernando County.
