A chartered club of Rotary International since 1954, the Rotary Club of Brooksville is dedicated to encouraging and fostering the ideal of service above self as the basis of worthy enterprise.


OUR MISSION: The Mission of the Rotary Club of Brooksville is to serve the Object of Rotary International – to promote Fellowship, Humanitarian Service, Vocational Understanding, World Peace and Goodwill -- by selecting and developing a community of business and professional leaders of high ethical standards.

OUR VALUES: The Values of the Rotary Club of Brooksville include

  • living by consistently high ethical standards and the Four Way Test;
  • actively participating in fulfilling opportunities for service to others both in the local community and in international service;
  • seeing the results of our service in the community and being a part of these achievements;
  • doing the critically important things in life excellently, and striving for excellence in all essential tasks;
  • making a meaningful difference in our communities and occupations;
  • using our time in worthwhile ways;
  • and participating in projects with clear commitments and predictable and clearly defined demands on our time and energy.

OUR MEMBERSHIP: The Rotary Club of Brooksville is composed of members who

  • represent their vocations and professions with dignity, honor, commitment and skill of the highest order;
  • willingly share their time and energy for humanitarian and community service;
  • provide generous financial support to our Local and the Rotary International Foundations;
  • seek to continually grow personally and professionally as leaders and as servants of humanity;
  • and actively and consistently live by The Four Way Test of the Things We Think, Say, and Do.

OUR PASSION FOR SERVICE: Members of the Rotary Club of Brooksville put service first. Service projects include:

  • Interact Club (high school Rotary) at Hernando High School every Friday morning @ 7:30 am

  • Mentoring/tutoring project with youngsters from the Eckerd Youth E-How-Kee Camp

  • PODS Golf Classic at Innisbrook. Rotary supplies course marshals

  • Hernando County Job Fair. Rotary supplies food

  • Annual Elected Officials’ Day. Brooksville Rotary honors Hernando County elected officials

  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing: Brooksville Rotary rings the bell at Christmas time for two days

  • Brooksville Rotary decorates a Christmas tree at Hospice House in Hernando County

  • Santa’s Toy Shop: Brooksville Rotary collects toys for R.S.V.P. and Daystar

  • Rotarians operate children's games at annual City of Brooksville Christmas festival

  • Tangerine Drop: Rotarians help operate Hernando County Tangerine Drop New Year’s Eve

  • H.E.A.R.T. Literacy Festival: Rotarians cook and serve food

  • Hospice Kids bereavement camp at Lakewood Retreat: Rotarians cook and serve dinner

  • Senior Exit Interviews at Hernando High School: Rotarians help interview every graduating senior

  • ACS Cancer Relay for Life: Rotarians enter a large team

  • Hernando County Fair: Rotarians accomplish the ticket selling

  • Scholarships at Hernando High School: Brooksville Rotary awards $ 4,000 annually

  • Scholarships at PHCC: Brooksville Rotary has $ 60,000 fund at the college which awards two scholarships yearly

  • Seminar for Tomorrows Leaders: A long standing central Florida Rotary week long summer program to build tomorrow’s leaders. Brooksville Rotary sponsors two seniors from Hernando High School

  • Rotary International’s Group Study Exchange: Brooksville Rotary participates in hosting one of 700 such international teams yearly for cultural and vocational exchange

  • Presents yearly a Non-Rotarian Community Service Award

  • Rotary participates yearly in Week Of The Young Child at Jerome Brown Community Center

  • Brooksville Rotary participates yearly in an international project among the Maya in Guatemala

  • Brooksville Rotary constructed and furnished an education/activities shelter at Eckerd Youth E-How-Kee Camp. This is our Centennial project

  • Brooksville Rotary yearly supports The Rotary Foundation to enable worldwide and local community projects

  • Brooksville Rotary has financially supported The Rotary Foundations’ Polio Plus effort to eliminate polio worldwide
